The objective was to give the 1 percent--those corporate CEOs and others--additional money. It was not to put money into the economy. Because, if it was, then we would be looking at it right now: What is the impact on America? That was not put into that tax bill. But the Democrats are willing to do that. The Democrats want to make sure that this legislation is doing what it is meant to do; that is, to be for the people, for the larger American people, by supporting that.…”
