I am prepared to support that amendment. It is long overdue, and I think it just removes another one of the inequities that, regrettably, from time to time throughout history come up through our system. Those men and women who serve in the active forces for great periods of time should not be penalized when a Reserve officer or a Guard officer or others, don't have a comparable situation. So I commend the Senator.
