I thank Chairman Cochran for his attention to this issue. This is an important matter that is critical to ensuring that the federal government can attract and retain qualified professionals in federal service. At this time I will withdraw my amendment and look forward to working with Chairman Cochran, Chairman Thompson and other members of the Government Affairs Committee.
