I challenge Members to find any group of immigrants any more committed to the United States and its values than Vietnamese refugees. The Vietnamese American families are extremely patriotic. They put many of us to shame. The fact is that their sons and daughters are being stigmatized, penalized because of their family ties. The limitations, both social and economic that are placed on them, are unfair. The right thing to do is to let them be reunited with their families. This is a good bill. I am glad it is going to pass unanimously.
