Reclaiming my time, we have the opportunity to do the right thing. Vote no on this bill. Then we can get a bill that is acceptable to the Senate, to the White House, and, most importantly, to the citizens of the District of Columbia. We owe them that. The citizens have elected a good mayor, they have got a good D.C. City Council, they are making progress, economic and social progress. They are not asking for much. They are asking that their kids have a chance to go to college and make it affordable. They are asking that we put up one-third of the cost of a Metro station that is desperately needed on the New York Avenue corridor. They are asking to clean up some of their brownfield sites. We have the money to do it. Let us do it. Do the right thing; vote no on the bill.
