I thank my colleague. This budget--I am not going to call somebody Dracula. I am sure it is sincere--but it is all about cutting taxes at the public's expense. It disinvests in America. So we disinvest in R&D, we disinvest in our future. The gentlelady from Tennessee talked about children and the tax burden. What about their education? What about opportunity? What about the roads and bridges and tunnels and transit systems they won't have because they have crumbled because we have disinvested? That is what this budget is all about. It is absolutely on the wrong path and it is handing over our future to foreign competition. I urge defeat of this budget, and I urge more sensible solutions for the future.
