The Clerk read as follows: Mr. Beyer moves to recommit the bill H.R. 3697 to the Committee on the Judiciary with instructions to report the same back to the House forthwith with the following amendment: Add, at the end of the bill, the following: SEC. __. PROTECTING INNOCENT RELIGIOUS WORKERS FROM DEPORTATION. Nothing in this Act or the amendments made by this Act may be construed to authorize the deportation of an alien for action taken on behalf of a religious organization whose primary purpose is the provision of humanitarian assistance or aid.
