A majority of this body has already gone on record saying that we will make certain we pass a prescription drug benefit for seniors before we pass all of these other tax cuts. We passed a major tax cut on Friday. We are proposing to pass tomorrow morning another major tax cut. All this amendment says is, before these tax cuts go into effect, we will have actually delivered on the promise to provide a prescription drug benefit. I hope it will be the pleasure of this Senate to adopt this amendment and keep the faith with our seniors.
