I thank the gentleman from New York (Mr. Grimm), my colleague from Virginia, Chairman Goodlatte, and the ranking member of the full committee, Mr. Conyers, for their cooperation in bringing this bill to the floor during National Police Week. As we join together on this bill, it is my hope that we can continue to work in a bipartisan fashion on other measures that will assist law enforcement officers and find sensible solutions to the problems of crime that face our communities.
