Madam Chair, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of subtitle D of title I of division A, add the following: SEC. __. USE OF MODELING AND SIMULATION TECHNOLOGY. It is the sense of Congress that the Department should utilize, to the fullest and most economically feasible extent practicable, modeling and simulation technology to analyze highway and public transportation projects authorized by this Act to ensure that these projects-- (1) will increase transportation capacity and safety, alleviate congestion, and reduce travel time and environmental impacts; and (2) are as cost effective as practicable. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 507, the gentleman from Virginia (Mr. Scott) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Virginia.
