Mr. Speaker, I thank Mr. Cardenas very much for his hard work, too. Mr. Speaker, reauthorization is an opportunity to improve legislation. Unfortunately, the pending Republican bill reduces nutrition standards and kicks kids off the school meal programs. Instead, we should be improving the program and expanding the child nutrition and the school lunch programs. I thank my colleagues for saying why this is so important.
