As Governor and as a mother of three school-aged daughters, I am working to make sure that every child feels safe, supported, and prepared to thrive during their years in Virginia’s schools and into their futures.

While (localities are) looking at what’s available to them as a potential option, it is up to our communities… But the state has to show leadership.

State government should work for the people it serves — and that means making sure Virginians can access the services they need quickly, easily, and reliably.

For those that are up and running and already operating, we have the ability and intention to continue to make sure that into the future we are holding them to greater and greater standards.
