Over a year ago, EPA began remediation on the Gold King Mine in Colorado that ultimately led to 3 million gallons of orange crap that went down the Animas and San Juan Rivers from Colorado into New Mexico, Utah, and perhaps even into Arizona.

All of those legitimate questions are not going to be addressed in this Committee hearing today.
There really is no reason to add to this hearing--unless it is to give Members another 5 minutes to campaign, or speak on the bills. It is kind of a waste of time.
Nevertheless, Ms. Jaresko's testimony today will provide valuable insight into the actual progress the Board and the new governor are carrying out.
Instead, we decided to move ahead with what can only be described as really good political theater.
