This double counting of the Medicare cuts is a dangerous accounting gambit. Former Senator Gregg and I warned the Medicare trustees about it in a letter last year. Based on past Trustees reports, we know Medicare is on the brink of collapse,'' said Senator Hatch. ``It's in the best interest of our country and our nation's seniors for the Trustees to release a full and honest assessment of the fiscal impact of the health care law on the viability of the Medicare program.
