The Clinton nominee, William Bryce, who was confirmed to the Federal circuit in 1994, was an assistant Solicitor General, just like Miguel Estrada. But nobody asked for his memoranda from his time in the Solicitor General's Office. He is one of eight former Solicitor General Office attorneys who have been confirmed at circuit courts without disclosure of their memoranda. Why the double standard? Why do we do this to the only Hispanic who has ever been nominated for the Circuit Court of Appeals? And why are the Democrats doing this to this Hispanic man? Why are they being so unfair? We never did it. We wouldn't dare do it.
