“The illustration should not be limited to just John Roberts and Miguel Estrada. There are a number of people who are on the Federal bench and who have served on the Federal bench who also served in the Solicitor's Office who were never asked those questions, and rightly so. They should never have been asked. It was a red herring that many of my colleagues hid behind to justify this outrageous and, I think, shabby treatment of Miguel Estrada.”
