reserving the right to object, one concern I have heard from opponents of the trade promotion authority is that trade agreements currently under discussion have been negotiated behind closed doors and that by renewing TPA, Congress would be enabling and even encouraging further secrecy. I am going to talk more on this in a minute, but there are 30 days before the President signs, 60 days after he signs where this will become well known.
