It's my hope that this Committee will spend more of its time and effort this Congress deliberating ways to reduce our budget deficits.

This fiscally irresponsible path that our federal budget is on is something that increases significantly the odds of a debt crisis.

Not only is this supremely misguided and shortsighted, but it's not remotely necessary.
