I think one of the untold sad stories that we are going to look back here upon in Afghanistan years, decades from now is the waste, the fraud, the abuse, that we were exacerbating the problem, we were funneling money to the enemy, we were funding the enemy.

I think this is one area where clearly the money that we are putting in has the potential to really do a huge amount of good for people's lives.
So, to suggest that there was not a dialogue, you can point to President Obama. He never listened to us.
