In the past two elections that I oversaw as lieutenant governor, the threats were all external: non-state actors, cyber security threats and other things. But now we also have threats coming from within our own government.

If you cared about the security of the elections … you would not be threatening election officials with prison sentences, you would not be suing all of us, you would not be investigating all of us constantly.

This temporary restraining order gives our state and county election officials the ability to move forward with the 2026 midterm elections as planned.

We’re really proud to be the very first state to do it.
