We need a total overhaul of the tax structure. The personal income tax pits one group of Americans against another. Corporate income tax makes a great deal of sense. Taxes which are focused on businesses which are accumulating wealth and on individuals accumulating wealth are the taxes that ought to be raised to take care of our needs, and there are many needs that must be met with taxes, but the personal income tax should not bear the bulk of the burden as they are at present. I think the gentleman from California would like to show us a little bit more about taxes and the kind of swindle that is being proposed by the Contract on America.
