I think that we are in danger of making a great blunder if we do not use this great window of opportunity to do something dramatic to improve education in America. There is a need for a greater commitment from the Federal Government which now only is responsible for about 8 percent of the total expenditure on education. We need more federal support for education. There are a lot of things that have to happen to improve education in America, but one of the things that has to happen is that we must have more federal support. The Federal Government is where the money is.
