Mr. Chairman, I come before you today after spending 27 years in the health care industry representing my local hospitals, and I can tell you that this bill was supported by them because it creates care in our communities, and it creates jobs in our communities. If we're going to focus on how to improve care and reduce cost, the bill is replete with opportunity. We can support accountable care organizations, we can support medical home pilots, we can support community health centers, we can support electronic medical records, we can support telemedicine, and we can support the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. That is how we're going to improve care, reduce cost, and deliver benefit to our constituents.
