You need to have a strong Palestinian government that will come through ballots not bullets, that come through the elections which we intend to convene for all Palestinian parties and that's the way forward and that's the way to make peace.

This is a war, this a battle, the Israelis have captured many Palestinian fighters. So the idea of Palestinian fighters capturing an Israeli fighter in enemy contact... that would just be an act of war and not a war crime.

We call upon the Israeli government to reciprocate and to recognize the state of Palestine and to join in a meaningful peace process that will end this Israeli occupation.
