Today's hearing will examine the need to reauthorize the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

We urge EPA to carefully consider the feasibility of the CARB rule as well as its potential impacts on freight shippers.

We strongly support a uniform federal regulatory framework for the nation's freight rail network.

I call on the Senate to follow suit, and I hope to work with them in the near future.
