Today I am announcing my intention to resign my seat in the House. This is probably a big surprise for a lot of people. We ran a poll. It showed that I had a 50/50 chance of winning. Spent a lot of time praying about it, trying to seek what the Lord wanted me to do. There's no guarantee that I can win. I think I could win. It would be a very close race. It would be very expensive. It really boils down to I want a guarantee that the seat in the 22nd District is Republican. And I can guarantee that by stepping aside.
