Sylvester Turner: “Leaders lead. They do not follow.”

When you start blaming the surge of all of these cases in Texas on black people, you`re trying simply to deflect the attention from the lack of responsibility and the lack of accountability and the lack of actions on the leadership part.

What we`ve seen this week in Texas is a total failure of governance.

I'm worried this statement may have provided a false sense of reassurance.

So please let people know, 'Don't mess with Medicaid.'
