I want to remind my colleagues that not so long ago, under the Prior administration-- President Bush, this Committee investigated and held oversight hearings that exposed and highlighted rampant conflicts of interest and unethical practices within the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program --especially lenders' use of bribes and kickbacks to curry favor with colleges.
