Small businesses and Main Street are the lifeblood of our economy. We should be doing everything we can to ensure that Main Street America is able to prosper.

Raising the debt ceiling is the only responsible thing to do, in my opinion.

But it was interesting to me that the same arguments that I hear my friends on the other side of the aisle that businesses will close and things will go to hell just didn't pan out.

We sell our families short when we accept that high-interest loans are the best we can do for our communities.
