“it is an honor to be able to close this debate on the higher education bill, one that is going to be one of the most meaningful pieces of legislation that I have participated in, together with our chairman, George Miller, and with our good friend, Buck McKeon from California, who has been a real gentleman and a great leader in higher education. I believe that this will open the doors to so many men and women throughout the country. It will raise the level of education attainment in many regions of the country. All I can say is we are delighted that we can be working with leaders of the quality of Buck McKeon and Mike Castle, and many others on the other side of the aisle.”
