As this committee moves forward with the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act I look forward to working with my colleagues on this committee to support higher education opportunities for our nation's servicemembers and veterans.

I am encouraged that we are doing some things right and helping a lot of people who under the conditions that our ranking member, Bobby Scott, gave that could not afford it or had preexisting medical conditions, are now covered.
