I was unable to be present in the House Chamber for certain rollcall votes this week. Had I been present on May 24, 2016, for the first vote series, I would have voted ``aye'' for rollcall 235 and ``nay'' on rollcalls 231, 232, 233 and 234. ____________________

I am encouraged that we are doing some things right and helping a lot of people who under the conditions that our ranking member, Bobby Scott, gave that could not afford it or had preexisting medical conditions, are now covered.
Raising the debt ceiling is the only responsible thing to do, in my opinion.
In the last 4 years we have shown great improvement in graduation rates, in enrollment in higher education, and graduation, even, at the colleges.
