The Export-Import Bank is a vital free market, economic engine for our manufactures, producers, and exporters.

I was unavoidably detained. Had I been present, I would have voted ``nay'' on rollcall Nos. 498, 499, 500, and 501. ____________________

I am encouraged that we are doing some things right and helping a lot of people who under the conditions that our ranking member, Bobby Scott, gave that could not afford it or had preexisting medical conditions, are now covered.

To prevent such a calamity from happening again, we enacted the Dodd-Frank Act.
