In 2009, prior to ACA, 40 percent of the families in my congressional district were uninsured. Today, in 2016, only 20 percent are uninsured.

I am encouraged that we are doing some things right and helping a lot of people who under the conditions that our ranking member, Bobby Scott, gave that could not afford it or had preexisting medical conditions, are now covered.

To prevent such a calamity from happening again, we enacted the Dodd-Frank Act.

I yield to the gentleman from New Hampshire so that he may express support for financial literacy and offer to work with us to encourage the Bureau to develop a financial literacy program aimed at auto financing.
