Roger Williams: “Do not forget small businesses that need operating capital before the big storm as you refer it.”

The Prove It Act of 2024 is an important bipartisan piece of legislation which will help ensure that agencies comply with intent of existing law.

Thank you, Chairman Williams for including this legislation in our markup today and I hope that all of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle will agree that simple, clear language is a way to ensure prosperity for our small businesses.

This important legislation will hold these fraudsters accountable, and I urge my colleagues to support it. Mr. Speaker, I reserve the balance of my time.
