I hope to continue the same spirit of bipartisanship and advance an agenda to build both health and economic security for seniors.

This hearing today is one example of where the Federal Government can respond positively and constructively to the reality that families face in terms of their income instability.

It is time we make the smart economic choice for the country--to help our families, to invest in our families, to invest in caregivers--and strengthen this workforce by making a generational investment in home care services.

We will need millions of new direct care workers in a few years given our aging population.
