I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Carrollton, AL, in Pickens County, where they have a museum to maintain the history of a large German prisoner of war camp in the United States. The Senator mentioned that certain legal rights were accorded 50 or so prisoners. But those were prisoners tried in Nuremberg after the war--after the war--for war crimes. Now, is the Senator aware of any instance in either the German camps or other prisoners who may have been held in the United States during wartime being provided habeas rights?
