I would like to say that whereas I concluded at the hearings that this nominee had these kind of tendencies based on what I saw, a majority of the committee did not agree with that, and we did not have the overwhelming amount of evidence that we have now. I say that in all due respect to the Senator from Pennsylvania. He had a hearing in Pennsylvania. These things did not come up at that time. I understand. I don't criticize the district attorneys and the police. They don't like to be involved in this. But I think they had to. They felt they had to come forward, and they did. I think it is time now for us to do our job. I wanted to say that in respect to the Senator from Pennsylvania.
