The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To prohibit the use of funds to allow categorical eligibility for the supplemental nutrition assistance program) At the end of title VII of division A, add the following: Sec. _. None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act shall be used to pay the salaries and expenses of personnel to carry out the supplemental nutrition assistance program established under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2011 et seq.) in any manner that permits a household or individual to qualify for benefits under that program without qualifying under the specific eligibility standards (including income and assets requirements) of the program, regardless of the participation of the household or individual in any other Federal or State program.
