The Wall Street Journal wrote that ``reforming the financial system without fixing Freddie and Fannie is like declaring a war on terror and ignoring al-Qaida.'' Fannie and Freddie were at the center of it. They were a cause of it. They need to be reformed, and I am disappointed that the one thing this government should be doing, which is fixing these quasi-government agencies, is not occurring.
