I, too, believe in free trade, but I share Senator Schumer's thoughts and Senator Graham's ideas. A great nation such as China needs to understand it has moved to a different level, that it sells an incredible amount of products to the United States of America, and what they do with the value of their currency impacts that trade. What they have done is not sound policy. Because I believe in free trade, I believe it is not even going to be good for China. It is certainly not good for the United States today. I do not want to be involved in telling a nation what their currency ought to be. I know the Senator from New York and the Senator from South Carolina do not believe they should, but this is reality. We are not talking about theory. We moved beyond theory. It is jobs. It is trade. It is a deficit trade that we have with China to an extraordinary degree that continues to grow. So I thank the Senators for their efforts, and I would be pleased to support their amendment. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Who seeks time? The Senator from South Carolina.
