I say we have not had that leadership. What happens 3 years from now when we have another group that has come illegally at age 15 or 16 because they have seen what happens to the ones who came before? Are we then going to say they don't get amnesty? No. We will have lost the moral high ground, the right, responsible effort to have a lawful system in America. We are surrendering to it if we vote for this bill.

I think that the protection of the innocents is always paramount, and I think that a humanitarian corridor must be established for those to leave so that they are not going to be subjected to conflict.
This is an embarrassment, in my opinion, and I think the opinion of most people where I represent in Texas, that we are encouraging this behavior.
It does not take a lot to have to sit here and listen and conjure up in your mind the undertaking that you are all involved in.
I would be hopeful that this would not be a Trump bash hating ordeal, but if the gentleman is going to speak, he ought to speak factually correct.
