It is not a matter of if, but when the next hurricane will hit my home.

American taxpayers and future generations deserve honest accounting, not more gimmicks that attempt to paper over our huge and unsustainable deficits.

I ask this Subcommittee to fully fund the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund and put the highest priority on projects which have the biggest impact on our U.S. economy.

This is not just an economic boon for America; it is a diplomacy boon, a freedom boon for America.
