It is critical and absolutely crucial that food assistance and agriculture development efforts focus on building resilience.

We have a SNAP program. It is important, and we are going to keep it. The issue is, how do we administer that program that is fair to the folks who need the benefits and is also fair to the taxpayers?

Perhaps the most important thing that this Congress can do to improve not just the livestock and poultry economies, but the entire agriculture sector, is ratify the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement, or USMCA as we know it.
