Before I get to my objections to the amendment, I want to congratulate the chairman, the majority members of the committee, as well as the majority staff for the great work they did in helping us bring a fully bipartisan bill to the floor…

Thank you for your leadership on behalf of America's farmers and ranchers, especially in such trying times.

We urge Congress to continue to provide people the means to access healthy food.

And I am relieved that the final farm bill that reflected the negotiation between the House and Senate basically cut out all of this language that would have punished low-income people in this country.
