Mike Conaway: “We cannot afford to let this happen.”

I am all for that, but just to have an open-ended check I don't think is necessarily a good idea.

Perhaps the most important thing that this Congress can do to improve not just the livestock and poultry economies, but the entire agriculture sector, is ratify the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement, or USMCA as we know it.

I thank my colleague from Texas for yielding and for those very kind words. I thank Chairman Engel and Mr. McCaul, the ranking member, for bringing this resolution forward. I rise today in strong support of the passage of my resolution…

The real question for me, though, is who pays for it?
