I know this is well-intentioned, but I have to tell you I think it is very dangerous.

It recognizes a government policy that enjoys broad bipartisan support is needed to address the challenge of climate change.

My amendment simply requires any new U.S. commitments under Paris come to Congress along with an economic analysis.

It also requires any future commitments by the United States to be subjected to congressional notification.
