The text of the amendment is as follows: Add at the end of title V the following: SEC. 543. PROHIBITION REGARDING WEAPONS. (a) In General.--Unless authorized by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, a person may not operate an unmanned aircraft or unmanned aircraft system that is equipped or armed with a dangerous weapon. (b) Dangerous Weapon Defined.--In this section, the term ``dangerous weapon'' has the meaning given that term in section 930(g)(2) of title 18, United States Code. (c) Penalty.--A person who violates this section is liable to the United States Government for a civil penalty of not more than $25,000 for each violation. The Acting CHAIR.
