On the recordMarch 3, 2010
It is a privilege to be on the floor any time when you know the history of this place and what all is going on before us. I'm so grateful for my friend from Missouri, my friend from Utah pointing out such important things about the health care debate that is ongoing. It is critical. We're talking about the lives of Americans. This is not something that should be considered lightly or done too quickly. It is incredibly ironic to realize here we are now into March of 2010, and beginning back over a year ago we were told there is no time to waste. We do not have time for Republicans to have any input. We don't really want to hear from Americans. This is too important, we were told, to delay. We have got to have this done by May. So here we are. Then we heard, Well, we need to get this done by July 4th. Then we heard we need to get it done by the August recess. Then, we need to get it done before Halloween. Well, then we need to get it done by Thanksgiving.…
