“You know, at a time when 42 cents out of every dollar we are spending, we are allocating here in this body is having to be borrowed and someday paid back by children and the children's children, some of whom may be watching right now, it is absolutely critical we do it right. Here we have got all of these amendments lumped into one so we can't debate them, and we can't take one thing out. That's not right. And when I heard my friend from West Virginia saying, There they go again, apologizing for BP, I will challenge anybody to find any comment by anybody on this side of the aisle in this debate today who has apologized for, to, or about BP. Some of us think they ought to be strung up when we find out who's most responsible. So I know my friend from West Virginia would never intentionally misrepresent the facts, but whoever prepared that statement that he read sure did.”
